BEDS #2 - Sixth Form and University.
Howdy folks, day two of Blog Every Day September. I was going to try and think of a better name - something to do with a bed and sex - but that requires two things that i can not spare at the moment: brain power and time. Today was my first day of year 14 (my third [‘extra’] year of sixth form). It wasn’t great, to say the least.
As the fresh-faced 16 year olds piled through the doors and sat down for their first assembily as the “big kids” of the school, i couldn’t help noticing the faces on the staffs faces: “kill me now”. Funny enough, they were my thoughts exactly. But hey, it’s only another year and i’ll FINALLY be at university. I get quite a few people asking me what i want to do at uni, so i guess i’ll answer it here once and for all below.
I’d like to go to university in London, doing something in media production. I’ve looked at TV and Film production courses, Interactive Media courses, all that lot, so we’ll see what happens. I definitely want to be in London, not only because i have so many friends there but because it really is the hub of media and technology in the UK - i couldn’t think of anywhere better to be!
I’m about to head out to the pub, to enjoy a post first-day-back-in-hell drink with friends. It has been a It has been a hectic day to say the least (this morning i had no idea what subjects i would be taking this year!). Note to self: must catch up on the weeks worth of Ultimate Big Brother that I’ve missed thanks to parties, traveling, seeing family and not being near a TV. What a fabulous life i lead…
Also, above is a picture from last night when i went out clubbing with friends (see previous BEDS post in which i talk about it). It was a great night and a nice way to end the summer. Anyway, until tomorrow my Tumble-friends! (Apon scanning back over this back i realise how moany and bad i sound, I’m glad I’m not the one having to read this! :P)

What have you done today to make you feel proud?
I’m proud to say that i didn’t hit one of the new year 12’s today. As tempting as it was, i left them to it in the hope that they would: a) calm down b) fuck off in their own time. Also i organised my subjects and extra-curricular stuff that I’ll be doing all year, which is a big achievement for me in one day! My mentor at sixth form said that when she stayed on to do year 14 she began smoking on the first day due to the stress of it all. I now see why! :P
